In Greene County magistrate court Deann Marie Goff, 34, of Jefferson was sentenced Oct. 12 to consecutive 30 days in jail on each of two charges: harassment- third degree and criminal mischief- fifth degree. The jail terms were suspended and Goff was placed on informal probation for one year. On each charge she was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge. She must pay a $125 Law Enforcement Initiative (LEI) surcharge and $500 victim restitution. A charge of trespass causing injury or damage more than $200 was dismissed. The case was initiated in district court with charges of harassment- first degree and criminal mischief- third degree. The charges were amended and remanded to magistrate court. Court costs were $120.
A judgment was entered Oct. 19 against Michael Lee Eastman of Jefferson on a charge of assault- simple. Eastman was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and a $125 Law Enforcement Initiative (LEI) surcharge. Court costs were $202.50
A judgment was entered Oct. 20 against Shane Detlef Coil of Jefferson on a charge of criminal mischief- fifth degree. Coil was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and a $125 LEI surcharge. He must also pay $100 victim restitution. Court costs were $60.
A judgment was entered against Kevin Armando Montoya of Jefferson on a charge of reckless driving. He was fined $100 with a $35 surcharge. Montoya was initially charged in district court with operating while intoxicated- first offense. The charge was amended and the case was remanded to magistrate court.
A case was initiated in magistrate court during the week ending Oct. 27 against Jamie Ray Alvarado of Grand Junction on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
